What’s Involved?
To become a volunteer surf lifesaver with Narrabeen Beach SLSC you will need to either:
- Complete the Bronze Medallion course which is open to anyone who is 15 years or older.
- Complete the Surf Rescue Course which is open to anyone aged 13-15 years.
Upcoming Sessions
Training for the next Bronze Medallion and Surf Rescue Certificate courses will begin in early 2026. The session will run 9am – 12pm at Narrabeen Beach Surf Club and will run for about 5-6 weeks. Intensive versions of the course are also available throughout the year, please submit your interest via the email address below.
The aim of this course is to provide participants with skills and knowledge related to surf awareness, aquatic rescue operations, radio operations, resuscitation, emergency care (Bronze), spinal management (Bronze), communication, teamwork and Surf Life Saving patrol operations. The completion of these awards allows access for many other SLS pathway awards.
